The profound effects of sexual trauma are not always evident even to us, yet unconsciously we hide ourselves from the world as the trauma has the effect of amplifying our life experiences. We disconnect from sensing our own bodies’ orchestra of needs and emotions, and often punish ourselves further with the frustration of being fearful of these emotions. We hide our talents, our appearance, our work, our achievements and many more aspects of our lives as a means of self-protection and self-preservation.
Thoughts are the language of the brain and emotions and feelings are the language of our bodies. Far too often, women numb themselves from feeling sensual so re-learning this sensual language can be very challenging, especially if you have experienced trauma.
Working with our bodies, our sexuality and sensuality is the most intimate way to understand ourselves. It holds the key to so many aspects of our lives such as our self-esteem, our body image, our sense of belonging, our sense of power, and our attitude towards love and relationships.
On our journey together you will experience guided healing sessions, somatic methods, a restorative yoga session and we will have a Q&A session at the end to address all your concerns regarding healing from trauma.
For the Vinyasa Yoga you will need a mat if you have one and space to do the movements.
Are you ready to start a new relationship with yourself?
